Tabata Squat

The Tabata interval is 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of
rest for 8 intervals. Tabata score is the least number of reps performed
in any of the eight intervals.

For example: start your timer (smart phones have tabata timer apps that really help- I have Gymboss for iPhone), do as many squats as possible for 20 seconds, then rest for 10 and write down your reps for the first interval, keep the clock running, when it hits 30 seconds start again until your clock hits 50 seconds, rest for 10 and write down your reps…… keep doing this for 8 intervals. Your score is your lowest number…..so keep those numbers high! BURN!! 😉

Post score to comments.

  1. 16 on last rep-all others were 17

  2. Just hit the floor on 17 when the timer went off one round 18 all others 17

    1. Now I'm not sure how I'm going to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get the kids!

  3. 14

I went ahead and did 16 rounds as I just felt like I hadn't worked up enough of a sweat yet.

  4. 18 reps. Knees cracking and legs burning! I got confused…how long total should the workout be? All other tabatas took 16 min total…but that's 32 intervals right? We were supposed to do 8?? So that makes the total time 4 mins?? I did 16.

  5. I know the picture of the day is supposed to be all about the puppy but the lady in the back cracks me up. It looks like she is wearing under-roos! Where can I get me some?

  6. 12 for two rounds, the rest were 13
Now I'm going to Tabata sit ups and back extensions since I missed yesterday

  7. 15, first round. I find that funny that my lowest was on my first round.

  8. Ran 3 miles
